Step 1: Application
The agent must submit the JOIN APPLICATION form in order to start their Onboarding process.
Step 2: Verification
The Onboarding Analyst will review the agent’s name and license number on the state commission website and will verify the license status.
Step 3: Approval
The Onboarding specialist will contact the State Broker Team for further information regarding your license status and eligibility of transfer.
Step 4: Documents

A W-9 is required. CLICK HERE to complete your online W-9 form.
Please note that the final four digits of your tax identification number must match on both your W-9 form and Direct Deposit form.

The Onboarding specialist will review the agent’s completed Independent Contractor Agreement (ICA), W9, and would be contacting the agent regarding any revisions needed. If no revisions are requested within 24 hours, the agent should begin to transfer their license through MI Plus.
Step 5: Transfer
Depending on the agent’s state, the State Broker Team will contact the agent with detailed instructions on the next steps of the license transfer process.
Final: Activation
You’re live, now you’ll need to complete your orientation and initial contracts training. Time to schedule your contracts and orientation. Complete this form to schedule orientation.
Getting Started after activation
Once onboarded you’ll need to complete the following training: Initial Contracts and Deal Writing.
Access free CE from your board.
Access MLS training through your MLS dashboard.
Consider NAR designation training opportunities to expand your skills and complete CE at the same time.
Join our private Facebook groups. Household Real Estate Agents.
Make sure to join the local Association of Realtors and Multiple Listing Services (MLS)
Upon affiliating your real estate license
- Determine your Local Board & MLS affiliation if you have not done so already.
- Pay your board and MLS dues and complete any required New Agent Orientation as soon as possible.
- Attend the entry-level class for your MLS.
Order business cards, lock boxes, brochures, signs and sign posts (or rent them).
Set up your email and voicemail.
Promote Yourself On Social Media

IMPORTANT: Submit ALL marketing materials for review to your designated broker team via email regarding State requirements for advertisement.
- Have the SAME professional profile picture on ALL your social media platforms
- Create bio/about section and add your website link to ALL of your social media platforms
- Ensure your websites are up-to-date and actively promote your realtor status on ALL relevant business social media platforms

- Develop a habit of connecting with individuals you encounter and adding them on ALL of your social media platforms.

- Get involved with your community and attend networking events and local events
- Become a member of a Real Estate Association

Dedicate today as your content creation day for scheduling social media posts. Share daily updates on Instagram and/or Facebook stories, engaging with your audience. Utilize the scheduling feature on Instagram and Facebook to plan posts in advance. Example content includes:

- Educational Videos Take advantage of timely real estate news and insights.
